For homeschool students, the California Community Colleges are a fantastic resource.

They allow students to receive A-G credit.
- In some cases a single semester course will satisfy an entire year’s requirement (English).
- In some cases a single semester course can satisfy several years of the requirement (Math).
They allow advanced students to take courses that meet their academic needs.

Which community college can my child attend?

Each college has its own rules about who can attend, what grade a students must be in, and if a student has to pay tuition. At this time, it seems to be campus specific. There are also differences between campuses regarding when a student can enroll for a class. Some require dual enrollment students to wait until all other students have enrolled which can make finding open classes difficult, while others are a bit more lenient.

What are the rules for a specific community college?

There are currently 113 community colleges in California, so keeping track of the requirements of each is a difficult task. As I gather information, I will list it on this page. If you have information to add please let me know through my contact page.
